previously
the
Centre
for
Resources,
Environment
and
Biotechnology
was
established
according
to
the
Decision
No.
3283/GD-DT
of
the
Ministry
of
Education
and
Training
of
13
September
1995.
The
centre
was
also
authorized
to
carry
out
R&D
activities
by
the
Permission
No.
445
of
the
Ministry
of
Science,
Technology
and
Environment
of
17
January
1996.
The
end
of
2007,
the
centre
was
promoted
to
the
institute
according
to
the
Decision
No.
1080/QĐ-DHH-TCNS
of
the
President
of
Hue
University.
Institute
of
Resources,
Environment
and
Biotechnology
has
functions
of
scientific
research
and
technology
transfer
for
serving
development
of
the
central
and
highland
regions
of
Vietnam,
postgraduate
education
on
environment
and
biotechnology,
and
international
collaboration
for
developing
human
resources
of
IREB.
